Thank you

By this point, you are in the midst of summer, enjoying your vacations, your family and warm summer evenings.

The opportunity to visit with my own family recently inspired me to reach out and communicate with my extended family of clients who I am proud and honored to serve. So, thank you for being a client of WT Wealth Management.

It seems like “thank you” is a lost phrase.  We understand that entrusting your family’s accounts to an advisor is an important decision. We take that obligation and the trust you have afforded us very seriously. Every time I pull up an account and review it, I don’t just see account numbers and charts, I see your faces, your stories and your lives.

Even though we may not visit in person on a regular basis, we try our very best to keep you abreast of news and your accounts’ performance through technology (e.g., your client portal, our website, LinkedIn or Facebook) and communication updates (e.g., monthly White Papers, Special Market Updates, articles, videos, account notifications, and your Quarterly performance reports posted to your client portal). Technology allows us to travel less and spend more time focusing on your accounts and insuring we are positioned for the next market move, higher or lower.

We have been through a lot together in the last few years. In 2017 after President Trump was elected, we experienced strong returns and one of the least volatile years on record. That subsequently led into a blockbuster first half of 2018, which was followed by one of the weakest fourth quarters in recent memory in the last few months of 2018.  That volatility in 2018, when the markets were off 20% from their early-year highs, has been reversed with a steadily strong market YTD in 2019. Markets today are not about investing, sitting back and waiting. They require constant attention and nurturing – much like your summer garden. Accounts left on their own can be overrun with weeds and not produce a full harvest.

We have already started on scenarios regarding the 2020 Presidential Election and building a game plan on how we will be positioned heading into next summer. The markets are more volatile and more complex than ever before as one tweet can change the tone of any trading day. We feel it is important to stay on-top-of each development and every piece of news and are always here to talk on the phone, answer questions and address concerns.

There’s nothing I enjoy more than speaking with clients and understanding your thoughts, feelings and sentiments on the markets, the economy, world and community events and especially your personal lives. Knowing you greatly aids in positioning your accounts correctly. As a reminder we manage each and every account individually, no buckets, no blanket allocations.  We build portfolios for you individually.

Now please get back to what matters to you: family, friends, warm weather and enjoying the summer. And we’ll get back to watching the markets and working to deliver the best results we can.

Warm regards,

John Heilner

WT Wealth Management is an SEC registered investment adviser, with in excess of $100 million in assets under management (AUM) with offices in Flagstaff, Scottsdale, Sedona and Tucson, AZ along with Jackson Hole, WY and Las Vegas, NV. WT Wealth Management is a manager of Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs). With SMAs, performance can vary widely from investor to investor as each portfolio is individually constructed and managed. Asset allocation weightings are determined based on a wide array of economic and market conditions the day the funds are invested. In an SMA, each investor may own individual Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), individual equities or mutual funds. As the manager we have the freedom and flexibility to tailor the portfolio to address an individual investor's personal risk tolerance and investment objectives – thus making the account “separate” and distinct from all others we manage. An investment with WT Wealth Management is not insured or guaranteed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) or any other government agency. Any opinions expressed are the opinions of WT Wealth Management and its associates only. Information offered is neither an offer to buy or sell securities nor should it be interpreted as personal financial advice. Always seek out the advice of a qualified investment professional before deciding to invest. Investing in stocks, bonds, mutual funds and ETFs carries certain specific risks and part or all of an account's value can be lost. In addition to the normal risks associated with investing, narrowly focused investments, investments in smaller companies, sector and/or thematic ETFs and investments in single countries typically exhibit higher volatility. International, Emerging Market and Frontier Market ETFs, mutual funds and individual securities may involve risk of capital loss from unfavorable fluctuations in currency values, from differences in generally accepted accounting principles or from economic or political instability that other nations experience. Individual bonds, bond mutual funds and bond ETFs will typically decrease in value as interest rates rise. A portion of a municipal bond fund's income may be subject to federal or state income taxes or the alternative minimum tax. Capital gains (short and long-term), if any, are subject to capital gains tax. Diversification and asset allocation may not protect against market risk or investment losses. At WT Wealth Management, we strongly suggest having a personal financial plan in place before making any investment decisions including understanding personal risk tolerance, having clearly outlined investment objectives and a clearly defined investment time horizon.
